According to this explanation, the earth spins, because it is a giant commutator. (A commutator is the part of a motor that alternates the current and keeps the motor spinning.)

No-one else has noticed this otherwise obvious (!) fact, because they have all been distracted by the giant strawberries. You may not know about these giant strawberries, because they are hidden in a large area of dark matter. (Dark matter is this mysterious substance that scientists think makes up most of the universe. They invented the idea of dark matter, because they can't explain why the galaxies move the way they do without there being something out there gravitationally attracting them. They can't detect any dark matter out there, though. The reason for this? Well, according to the scientists, this must be because dark matter is impossible to detect.)

(This dark matter idea sounds surprisingly similar to String Theory 2, doesn't it? The only real difference is that dark matter is something that professional scientists have thought up, whereas String Theory 2 is something some random amateur somewhere has thought up.)

(Anyway.)

But, some people (Nick) know that the strawberries are there because they (he) got an e-mail from the giant strawberries.

The giant motor, power supply, giant magnets and the rest of the giant motor haven't been seen either, because they are made of string, and are undetectable according to String Theory II.

But, if there are giant invisible string magnets, why don't magnets on Earth fly towards them? Well, magnets on Earth are only attracted by magnets with North and South poles. These giant magnets have East and West poles instead of North and South poles.

These magnets point East/West because of extra strings in the universe, holding the Magnets Of The Universe in place. These Magnets Of The Universe have been in place so long, the magnetic particles have rotated from North and South to East and West.

By the way, these Magnets Of The Universe are two giant East/West magnets at the edge of the universe (see diagram below). The earth also has two magnets above and below it, which attract compasses and things, but aren't strong enough to do much. They haven't been spotted yet because once you've got to the North or South pole, you would be too frostbitten to think about them.

The giant N/S magnets above and below weren't attracted to the Magnets Of The Universe before they changed to E/W magnets. This is because they were slightly off centre, so the dipoles didn’t line up, and they weren’t attracted.

A few more points:

The strange thing is, this is considered to be the "remotely sane" theory. To find out just how strange the completely insane explanation is, click here.
