There's a bit of a story behind this one. I've been trying to get Ubuntu Linux to work on my laptop. At the moment, on 8.04 'Hardy Heron' Ubuntu, I get horizontal lines like this, and sound, but no windows or icons. But it looks kinda stylish, so I've put a lineart heron on here and called it art. (By the way, the heron's based on this one: http://www.morguefile.com/archive/display/104975 .
